Hi, I’m Sandra. I’m a human that’s been around a while and is constantly thinking about how time is finite, and how I can spend more time doing things that I enjoy. Ever since I was a child, I disliked wasting time. That dislike has led me to always contemplate how to make or do things better, faster, and more effectively. On a daily basis, the thought crosses my mind “why would we do this, when we can do it better?”

During my career journey, I didn’t think the path made much sense. In my first decade of work, my decision-making wasn’t deliberate, it was really just “who will pay me, so I can pay my bills.” ​ I eventually realized I was more attracted to roles that enabled me to solve problems - not just any problems, but problems that if solved, would have a real impact. ​ I've spent time across a range of industries – investment banking, adtech, ecommerce, AI call center software, fintech – where I became a master of none across a broad set of skills (finance, operations, product, marketing, strategy).

I was shy and lacked self confidence growing up. I’m naturally more introverted and can be extroverted when I have the energy, though it took me years of practice. ​ I have come a long way with improving the way I communicate and have realized just how crucial these skills are to anyone, in work and in life. I’ve also realized how important it is to bet on yourself. ​ Hence, Jovial was born. I want to help others develop their voice and confidence. We're all human and brilliant in our own ways. My hope is for you to feel empowered to share your ideas with the world and live a fulfilling, jovial life.
