Jovial Connect & Create

Join us for our first ever community event, Jovial Connect & Create, on Saturday, March 2 @ 9am!

An integral part of our Jovial vision is community, whether it is within the workplace or beyond. Outside of our work with enterprises to create programs to build up their communication and connection (and results 💸, cause we know that matters), we hope to create the spaces and opportunities for people to connect in ways they never thought possible.

Our perspective has always been this:

It doesn’t matter what your background is, what school you went to, what jobs / titles you’ve had (or haven’t had), whether you’re a serial entrepreneur (or if you hear someone say “serial” and you think about cereal 😂)…there is something to be learned from everyone. What is most rewarding is discovering the personal stories behind the human as opposed to the crisp professional resume.

🎨 WE ARE ALL CREATIVE.

Art was my favorite class as a child. While I’ve enjoyed working in the software product world, it is satisfying to make something that you can physically grasp and share with others. To this day, I take my son to Michaels in search of new projects. When I’m feeling uninspired, crafting is a way to use a different part of my brain and then return to work with a renewed perspective.

Our Jovial event combines these ideas to create an experience unlike your typical networking event. We'll facilitate conversations that remove the pressure and social anxiety that might come with these types of events, and simply bring together like-minded individuals to foster connection & creativity. This isn’t a place where you need to pitch yourself and the work you do (but if you want to share something work-related you’re excited about or need help with, you’ll have the opportunity to do so!).

We’ll have small facilitated group conversations along with a hands-on craft activity (some 90s themed fun 😎) in a relaxing, welcoming environment. Ideas can come from anywhere (and oftentimes spark from the unlikeliest of places), we hope you leave this event feeling energized and inspired for your next project!
